Navigating to the Multifactor Authentication Menu

Objective

This article guides you through the process of locating and accessing the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) menu within the B2Gnow Baseline System. MFA strengthens account security by requiring additional verification beyond a standard password, helping to prevent unauthorized access and protect user data. This guide provides the specific navigation paths to reach the MFA settings menu, which may vary depending on the user type (Vendor, Diversity Staff, Member, or Buyer).

Process

An individual user may enable, update settings, or disable MFA on their user account at any time. The navigational steps to enable MFA may be different depending on the type of user, and some user types have multiple click-paths to enable MFA. The click-paths to access the MFA menu are described per user type below:

As a Vendor

  1. Dashboard > Enhanced Account Security > Activate
  2. Dashboard > Configure > Activate Enhanced Account Security
  3. Dashboard > System News > Enhanced Account Security
  4. Left Navigation Menu > Settings > Account Security

As a Diversity (Staff)

  1. Dashboard > Tools > Activate (Manage) Enhanced Account Security
  2. Left Navigation Menu > Settings > Account Security

As a Member

  • Left Navigation Menu > Settings > User Profile > Account Security

As a Buyer (Project Manager)

  • Dashboard > Configure > Activate Enhanced Account Security
  • Left Navigation Menu > Settings > Account Security

Summary

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) can be enabled, updated, or disabled by individual users at any time within the B2Gnow Baseline System. Because navigation options differ by user role, this article outlines the various click-paths for accessing the MFA menu for each user type:

  • Vendors: Multiple access points via the Dashboard and Left Navigation Menu

  • Diversity Staff: Access through the Dashboard or Settings menu

  • Members: Access via the User Profile section under Settings

  • Buyers (Project Managers): Access through the Dashboard or Settings menu

By following the applicable navigation path, you can efficiently locate the MFA settings page to configure or manage their enhanced account security options.
