Granting Temporary User Access to a Certification Application

Overview

If you need assistance with your application, you can grant temporary access to another user so they can view your application exactly as you see it. This can help speed up troubleshooting and reduce the need for screenshots or lengthy back-and-forth communication.

You can grant access to:

  • B2Gnow Support
  • Your staff members
  • The certifying agency

You remain in control at all times by selecting who receives access and how long the access remains active. Access can also be revoked at any time.

Before You Begin

Make sure that:

  • You have an existing application in progress.
  • You can log into your account.
  • The person you are granting access to must already have a user account in the system.
  • You know which user or agency should receive access.

Steps

Granting Access to an Application

  1. Log in to your account using your username and password.
  2. In the left navigation menu, select View to expand the available options.
  3. From the expanded menu, select My Certifications to open your list of applications.
  4. Under the Applications section, locate your incomplete application and select Fill In.
  5. At the top of the application, select the Utilities tab.
  6. Under the Application information, select the dropdown menu next to  Grant Access To
  7. From the dropdown list, select the user you want to grant access to.
    • If you are working with B2Gnow Support, select the username ending in admin4.
    • If you are working with a certifying agency or someone from your organization, select the user name provided to you by that person or agency.

Note: The users shown in the dropdown list depend on which users already have accounts and permission to access applications in the system.

Certifying agencies can only view incomplete applications after you grant them access.

If you are unsure which user to select, ask the support representative or agency staff member assisting you.

  1. Select how long the user should have access to the application. Temporary access can be granted for as little as 1 hour or for longer periods such as days, weeks, or months. Permanent access remains active until it is manually revoked.

Note: A minimum of 2 days is recommended when working with B2Gnow Support.
If you are granting access to a certifying agency, ask the agency representative how long they need access.

  1. After confirming your selections, select Grant Access.

Revoking Access

Access is automatically removed when the selected access duration expires.

If you need to remove access before it expires:

  1. Under the Applications section, locate your incomplete application and select Fill In.
  2. At the top of the application, select the Utilities tab
  3. In the Access List, locate the user whose access you want to remove.
  4. Under the Actions column, select Revoke next to that user’s name.
  5. Select Ok from the pop up window.

Note: You cannot revoke access for your organization’s primary contact person listed on the application.
