Understanding the Certifications Tab

Overview

The Certifications tab displays all certifications your business currently has, previously held, or has applied for. This tab allows you to review and manage your certification activity in one location.

You can use this tab to:

  • Review active certifications
  • Monitor certification applications
  • Track certifications currently under review
  • Access historical or inactive certification records

Each section within the tab displays different information about your certification status and certification processing activity.

Before You Begin

Before using the Certifications tab, ensure that:

  • You are logged into your vendor account
  • Your vendor profile has been created
  • You have permission to manage certifications for your company

Process

You can access the Certifications tab in the following ways:

  • From the left navigation, select View, then My Certifications. 

Certification Action Buttons

Buttons at the top of the page allow you to manage certification activity.

Button Description
Renew/Apply for Certification Allows you to submit a new certification or renewal application
Submit Change Request Allows you to submit updates to certification information
Change Request List Displays certification change requests you submitted 
Request Missing Certification Allows you to request certifications that are missing from your profile

Current Certifications Section

The Current Certifications section displays certifications that are currently active for your company.

You can use this section to:

  • Verify active certifications
  • Review certification effective and renewal dates
  • View certification organizations
  • Manage certification date alerts

Current Certifications Columns

Column Description
Type Displays the certification type assigned to your company
Action Displays the certification action associated with the record e.g. new, renewal, re-evaluation
Effective Displays the date the certification became active
Renewal Displays the certification expiration or renewal date
Organization Displays the certification agency or organization
Actions Displays available actions for the certification

Available Actions

Action Description
View Opens the certification details
Add Date Alert Allows you to create a reminder for certification renewal dates
View Date Alerts Displays existing renewal date alerts

Certification Renewal Information

Certification renewals and updates must be submitted to the certification agency responsible for the certification.

  • If the certification is managed within the system, you may be able to submit renewals online.
  • Some agencies may require you to complete renewal steps outside the system.

Applications Section

The Applications section displays certification applications submitted for your company.

You can use this section to:

  • Monitor application progress
  • Review application statuses
  • View application dates
  • Identify assigned contacts

Applications Columns

Column Description
Status Displays the current status of the application
Application Number Displays the unique application identifier
App Type Displays the type of certification application submitted
Organization Displays the organization processing the application
Dates Displays application started, submitted, and received dates
Contact Displays the assigned contact or processor

Common Application Statuses

Status Description
Received & In Process Your application has been received and is currently under review
Awaiting Q&A Response - PAST DUE Additional information is required and your response deadline has passed
Processing Complete The application review process has been completed
Submitted, Pending Receipt Your application was submitted but has not yet been received for processing
Incomplete (0%) Your application has not been completed

Available Application Actions

Action Description
View Opens the aplication to view the progress of your application
Fill In Continue an In-Progress Application

Pending / In Process Certifications Section

The Pending / In Process Certifications section displays certifications currently being reviewed or processed for your company.

You can use this section to:

  • Monitor certifications under review
  • View assigned reviewers
  • Track pending certification activity

Pending / In Process Certifications Columns

Column Description
Type Displays the certification type being processed
Action Displays the certification action associated with the record
Application Date Displays the date the application was submitted
Organization Displays the organization processing the certification
Reviewer Displays the assigned reviewer or administrator
Actions Displays available actions for the certification

Tips

  • Review your renewal dates regularly to avoid certification expiration. 
  • Respond promptly to applications marked Awaiting Q&A Response - PAST DUE.  See Responding to Agency Certification Questions.
  • Use date alerts to help track upcoming certification renewals. 
  • Monitor the Pending / In Process Certifications section for certifications currently under review.
