Overview
Once a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) has been added to eComply, it cannot be deleted. If an approved CBA should no longer be used, you can deactivate it.
Deactivating a CBA removes it from the list of available CBAs that can be selected for an employee while preserving the existing agreement in eComply.
A deactivated CBA cannot be reactivated.
Before You Begin
Before deactivating a CBA:
- Confirm that the CBA should no longer be available for use.
- Verify that you have selected the correct CBA.
- Be aware that deactivation is permanent. A deactivated CBA cannot be reactivated.
Steps
- Sign in to eComply.
- Select Setup in the left navigation pane,
- Select Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Locate the CBA you want to deactivate.
- Select Actions next to the CBA.
- Select View.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page.
- Select Deactivate.
-
Select OK to confirm the deactivation.
The CBA moves to the Deactivated tab and is no longer available for selection when assigning a CBA to an employee.
Tips
- Review the CBA carefully before deactivating it because the action cannot be reversed.
- Deactivate a CBA when it should no longer be available for employees.
- You can find previously deactivated agreements under the Deactivated tab.
Summary
Deactivation provides a way to retire an approved CBA without removing its existing record from eComply. This keeps agreements that should no longer be used from being selected for employees while retaining them for reference.
