Understand the Personal Net Worth Module

Overview

A Personal Net Worth (PNW) module is used to collect information about an owner’s personal assets and liabilities. Agencies may use this information during certification review to help determine whether an applicant meets eligibility requirements.

When the agency enables the Personal Net Worth Statement module, the Personal Net Worth Statement section appears in the online certification application. The module allows owners to enter financial information directly in the system, review calculated totals, upload a signed or notarized statement if required, and submit the statement as part of the application. Depending on the application setup, the module may replace a separate Personal Net Worth Statement document upload requirement.

The Personal Net Worth module also supports privacy. If one person is completing the application but another owner needs to provide their own financial information, that owner can be invited to complete the statement privately.

Before You Begin

Before you complete a Personal Net Worth Statement, make sure:

  • You have access to the online certification application.
  • The Personal Net Worth Statement section appears in the application.
  • You have the owner’s asset and liability information available.
  • You know whether the agency requires the completed statement to be printed, signed, notarized, and uploaded.
  • You know whether another owner needs to complete their information privately.

Process

What the Personal Net Worth Module Does

The PNW module helps collect and organize owner financial information in the online application. It guides you through entering owner details, assets, liabilities, and ownership information. The system uses the values entered in the worksheet to calculate personal net worth.

The module may also allow you to:

  • Invite an owner to complete their PNW information privately.
  • Upload a signed or notarized Personal Net Worth statement, if required by the agency.
  • Grant PNW access to the certifying organization or B2Gnow Customer Support when help is needed before submission.
  • Submit the PNW section as part of the certification application.

How the Personal Net Worth Module Helps

The Personal Net Worth module reduces the need to manage PNW information outside the system. Instead of only uploading a separate document, you can enter the information directly in the application and allow the system to calculate totals.

The module also helps protect owner privacy. When an owner is invited to complete their own Personal Net Worth statement, other application users cannot view that owner’s PNW details.

  • If another person is completing the application, the owner can be invited to submit PNW information privately.
  • The system calculates personal net worth using the asset and liability values entered in the worksheet.
  • If the Personal Net Worth module is enabled, a separate PNW document requirement may not appear in the document list.
  • If the agency or support team needs to view the PNW before the application is submitted, access must be granted in the PNW owner details.
  • Uploading a completed PNW document does not automatically populate the online worksheet. Values must still be entered in the system.

Summary

The Personal Net Worth module provides a secure way to enter and submit personal financial information during the certification application process. It helps organize asset and liability details, calculates personal net worth, supports private owner submissions, and allows PNW information to be reviewed when access is granted.
