Overview
Use the Invite Owner option when an owner needs to submit their own Personal Net Worth, or PNW, information privately. This is helpful when someone else is preparing the application, when the firm has multiple owners, or when one owner should not see another owner’s PNW details.
Before You Begin
Before you start, make sure:
- You have access to the certification application.
- You have the owner’s email address.
- The owner has enough time to complete the PNW before the application is submitted.
Steps
Send the Owner's an Invitation
- Open the certification application. Read Submit a New Certification Application for step by step instructions.
- Locate the Personal Net Worth Statements section.
- Select Fill In.
- Select the PNW tab, if needed.
- Select Invite Owner to Submit Personal Net Worth Statement.
Choose one of the following invitation options.

- Select the reminder option under Actions if the owner has not completed the statement.

Tips
- Invited owner details are not visible to other owners or to the person preparing the application.
- Use Invite Owner to Submit Personal Net Worth Statement when privacy is needed.
- Use Add PNW Statement only when the person completing the application should enter the PNW information directly.
- Ownership percentages must total 100% before the section can be completed.
- The application cannot be completed until the required PNW information is submitted.
Summary
The invite workflow lets an owner submit Personal Net Worth information privately while the application preparer continues managing the rest of the certification application. After the owner submits the PNW, ownership percentages must be completed before the Personal Net Worth section can be marked complete.
